Remember back when we announced that Ys IX: Monstrum Nox would be headed to this year's Tokyo Game Show? Well the title did and tons of new goodies debuted during the big event. First off, we have two new TGS gameplay demo runs that give fans a nice look at gameplay, along with the general dungeon designs:

There's a third short gameplay video as well that showcases Adol/Red King using all of the special movement actions:

At TGS, Nihon Falcom announced that each character will get DLC costumes after launch. On the official Twitter account they revealed three out of six of those costumes for now:

To top it off, the account also posted new official artwork for the game:

The other costumes will most likely be revealed closer to the Japanese launch date.

You can read more about Ys IX’s characters, story and check more gameplay and screenshots in our previous articles here, here and here.

The gameplay sequence reintroduces the six Monstrum characters. We’ve translated their profiles in the past if you didn’t check them yet: we’ve got the Red King/Adol, White Cat, Hawk, Doll, Raging Bull, and Renegade. Falcom also updated Ys IX‘s official website, revealing new side characters appearing in the game.

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox launches on September 26th in Japan, on PS4. The game isn’t scheduled to come west for now as Falcom is focusing on releasing it in Japan first. You can read more in our interview with Toshihiro Kondo.
