Falcom has announced that they'll be bringing the PS Vita title Ys: Memories of Celceta to PS4. This newest iteration of this title will be called Ys: Memories of Celceta: Kai. The game will release both digitally and physically on May 16.

Ys: Memories of Celceta is technically considered the fourth chapter in the world's chronological story. Players who grab day-one copies of the physical version will get a nice copy of "The Collected Ys Music of Ancient and Modern Times.” It'll cost around 3,980 yen in-store and 3,500 yen to download.

The PS4 version will support 60 frames per second and players can expect some high definition visuals. Additionally, some of the game's PS Vita exclusive features will be adapted for the PS4 while other things will be changed, like "Extra Skills," to match the latest title in the series, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DanaYou can head over to the game's official website to learn more, however, if you can't read Japanese there are still some pretty cool screenshots to check out.

The game originally launched as a PS Vita exclusive in November of 2013 in North America. Eventually, it was brought over to Windows in July of 2018. If you're interested in getting your hands on it, the title is currently on sale via Steam.

In other Ys related news, the ninth entry in the longrunning JRPG series was revealed back in late December. Recently, Falcom's president, Toshihiro Kondo, said that newcomers to the story will be able to jump in fresh with Ys IX. If you are a fan of this series in any capacity though, Kondo-san's statement basically is accurate for most Ys titles. They're typically easy to jump into at any point, similar to other popular JRPG franchises like Final Fantasy and Tales of. Interestingly though, Ys has always stuck with one main protagonist, Adol, unlike these other series.

As of right now, there's no confirmation as to whether this title will be getting a localized version. I imagine it's quite likely that we'll get it at some point since the original release made it overseas and to PC just last year. As previously mentioned though, if you just can't wait for Ys: Memories of Celceta it's available now on PS Vita and PC.
