Today NIS America announced that Nihon Falcom's Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana is going to get a Nintendo Switch port.

The game, that was originally released in the west for PS4 and PS Vita back in 2017, and is coming for PC on January 30th, will also land on Nintendo's new console sometime this year.

The story tells the tale of Adol, shipwrecked on a cursed island where he has to build a micro-society alongside with the other passengers that have been stranded with him. He also starts to dream about the life of a mysterious blue-haired maiden named Dana, starting to share her memories.

It's a big JRPG, and certainly a nice addition to the lineup of the Switch. The press release mentions that further details, including exclusive features for the console, will be shared at a later time.
