Today NIS America announced that a free demo for PS4 of its upcoming JRPG by Nihon Falcom Ys VIII: Lacrimosa Of Dana has been made available on the North American and European Playstation Stores.

If you’re in North America, you can grab it here, and if you’re in Europe, you can find it here. It weighs only 804 megabytes, so it’s a quick download.

You can also see a few screenshots from the demo itself at the bottom of the post.

On top of that, we also get a new trailer showing the content exclusive to the PS4 and PC versions of the game.

Those include a new Inferno Mode difficulty level, a deeper story line showing Dana’s past, new dungeons with new monsters, and two new battle forms for Dana, Luminous and Gratika.

You can check it out below. You can also check out a previous trailer focusing on Adol, one on Dana, and one more on the rest of the cast.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana will release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC on September 12th in North America and September 15th in Europe.
