The ongoing quest for NIS America’s re-localization of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana has continued with a new update from the publisher.

In a blog update by Alan Costa, who is heading the re-localization project, the publisher confirmed that all voice actors have returned to their roles and were more than eager to take another shot at the game. As of right now, only have Laxia, Dana, and Sahad are left to finish their voice recording.

From then, the publisher will check the audio files and then deliver them to Falcom so the development team can insert them into the game and have a build ready by mid-December. After this point, Costa writes that they'll be able to share screenshots and videos.

Moving forward the team with focus on voiced lines in the game and then transition to unvoiced sections until the project is complete.

This news comes after the studio revealed that Durante is on board to help with the PC version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, which has been delayed until after the project is finished.
