It's September and for all you Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links fans, you know what that means! A brand new world is coming, although, unlike the previous worlds, this one isn't based on a series within the franchise. Instead, players will be able to jump into a new world based on the animated movie Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions, which was released in 2016 in Japan (2017 to everyone else).

For those that don't know, The Dark Side of Dimensions (DSOD) is set after the original series (or original manga depending on which version you're watching) and features all your favorite characters, including matured versions of Yugi, Kaiba, Mokuba, and more. The latter two will be the first unlockable characters within the DSOD world when it launches on September 26, 2019.

To celebrate the release of the world, Konami said that they'll be once again holding a launch celebration, which includes free in-game gems, UR and SR card tickets and more. I expect as time goes on more and more characters will be added to the world, including Aigami, Sera, and more.

To celebrate the announcement of the world, Konami released a brand new trailer, which shows off scenes from the movie as well as the new animation for Dark Magician, which is getting new in-game artwork based off the one in the movie. You can check out the trailer for yourself at the end of the article, however, be warned that it's entirely dubbed in Japanese, so if you're looking for an English trailer, you're out of luck.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links is available on iOS and Android devices.
