The mobile TCG market has been expanding and  Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links claimed 40 million downloads last year. The game features a speed format that features three monster and spell/trap card zones each and is populated by 20 card decks. While this format has excelled on mobile and on the Steam version of the game, Konami is evidently seeking to capitalize on the format's popularity by translating it into the physical trading card game.

Konami has announced that Speed Dueling products are going to begin to arrive in an official capacity for the Yu-Gi-OH! TCG later this year. This means that players will be able to play as their favorite characters, highlighting skills and deck archetypes. More information about these products will be revealed at the Game Manufacturers Association (GAMA) annual trade show.

This stands as a symbol of recognition for the constantly changing trends within the card game, and also as a signal that the large audience the mobile game has garnered may drive further business changes for the company in the months to come. While the TCG has certainly remained popular over the years, the return by many players to the brand on mobile and Steam is being heard loud and clear.
