If you're a duelist living outside Japan and you've been wondering when you'll be able to get your hands on Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution then get ready. Earlier this morning, Konami revealed that both the physical and digital versions of the game will be making its way to the eShop and retail stores all around the world on August 20, 2019.

The reveal of the game's worldwide release date comes after months of speculation as to when the game would be coming. Link Evolution was originally released in Japan on April 26, 2019.

In addition to the release date itself, Konami also revealed that the game's physical release, which was confirmed a few weeks back, will include three exclusive trading cards: the Link monster Progleo, the Cyberse-archetype monster Micro Coder, and the Spell card Cynet Codec. All three of the aforementioned cards are, as of the time of this writing, Japanese exclusive, so their release here makes sense, especially since the Japanese version isn't getting a physical version.

Finally, to celebrate the announcement of the English release date, Konami also released the first English trailer for the game, as well as some new English screenshots. While definitely not as cheesy as the Japanese trailer (though this shouldn't come as a surprise), this is our first official look at the game in action over here in the West, so it's pretty cool for that. You can check it out at the end of the article.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch and can be pre-ordered from the eShop right now for $39.99.
