It's been a busy year for Luigi after Nintendo has claimed 2013 as "The Year of Luigi" to celebrate his 30th birthday, while The Legend of Zelda has also seen plenty of action through the releases of The Wind Waker HD and the upcoming A Link Between Worlds. Nintendo, however, seems to sweetening the deal for both franchises with a pair of new 3DS XL models coming to Europe next month.

The new 3DS XL models in question are a pair of special edition Luigi and Zelda handhelds: the Luigi handheld was already released earlier in the year in Japan, but the Zelda edition is entirely new and seemingly being released to coincide with The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds - both will release in November. While the Luigi edition is simply charming with its assortment of Luigi silhouettes across the console (coming November 1st), the Zelda version is simply beautiful - gold paint and a simple Triforce logo on the front shows off a classy and pretty Zelda-playing machine, as it will release on November 22nd and will be bundled with The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.

Both of these 3DS XL models will be coming to Europe in November (Luigi on November 1st, Zelda on November 22nd) - to check out more of their beauty, you can see some of the screenshots of both the Zelda and Luigi models below:
