While previous games in the Zelda franchise have always had a pretty straightforward ending, it seems that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will feature more than one ending.

In an interview with IGN Portugal, Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma stated that the game will have more than one conclusion to the story.

"There is an alternate ending if you meet certain criteria. If you do a few things, you may see a different ending,"

In the same interview, Aonuma-san confirmed that Link's horse Epona will be in the game, but he is keeping details light.

"As for Epona, she's in Breath of the Wild, but I do not want to reveal details about how to find her, or what that means."

Epona was first introduced in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the Nintendo 64 and has been a key character in Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess. We don't have a lot of information about how Epona's inclusion will be integrated into the game but we'll get answers when the game launches on the Nintendo Switch and rides the Wii U out into its final days.

Earlier this week, news broke that Breath of the Wild will be the final first party game to release on the Wii U.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will launch on March 3rd, 2017 for both the Nintendo Switch and the Wii U
