The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is filled with lots of side quests. Some of these quests are straightforward and short, others can take you all over the whole map. This one is neatly tucked in the middle.

You have several points of interest, but they are all close together in the same area. You will need to take pictures of four stone tablets, also known as Stellae, using your camera. Then, you will show these pictures to the quest-giver NPC.

Initiating The Quest

To get this quest, open your map and move over to the Gerudo Desert. Zoom in on Gerudo Town and travel to the shrine if it is already active. Once you are at the shrine, jump over the ledge and fall down to the town below. Use your glider before you hit the ground. If you come through the front entrance of the town, run straight ahead through the path with palm trees on both sides. In both cases, you will come to some large stairs with a hole in them.

Go in this hole. You will go down a flight of stairs and pass through a circular door frame. You will enter a room with a large brazier, run to the left of this brazier, and you will see an NPC standing with an open door frame to their right. Talk to this NPC. Their name is Rotana, and they will be standing next to an orb featured in the quest, The Mysterious Eighth. After a rather lengthy bit of dialog, you will initiate the side quest, The Heroine’s Secret.

The First Monument To Seven Heroines

Turn to the large open door frame on her right and head on through it. Turn left when you enter this room to see a sealed-off archway. The cracked rocks around it might have you thinking of using bomb flowers, but you can save your ammo if you have a heavy enough weapon. Simply use the game’s fusion mechanic to fuse a large rock into a sword, turning it into a Boulder Hammer. You can use this hammer to break these cracked rocks and reveal what lies on the other end. There will be a large stone tablet called Monument to Seven Heroines. Pull out your camera and take a picture of the large stone tablet in the archway.

The Second Monument To Seven Heroines

Run out through the door frame you used to come into the room and then turn left. Run to the next open door frame, which will have clothing hanging from a line above it. In this room, you will see a drain that water is running into. Go to the right of this drain and down the thin corridor with stairs going downward. This will take you to a small room. Follow the left wall, and you will see several shelves.

In the corner of the rooms, you will find some vases on one of these shelves. You can break these vases to create a path you can use to get into the room on the other side. Crawl through here, and you will see some white pots. Stand in front of these white pots and use Ascend to end up in a storage room with another large stone tablet. Use your camera to take a picture of this one as well.

The Third Monument To Seven Heroines

Connecting to the room you are currently standing in will be a small wooden door. Go up to it and interact with it. The person on the other end will let you out of the room. There will be a trail of water in front of you; follow this trail upstream. This will bring you back into the room with the brazier. Run to the open door frame ahead of you, passing the quest giver NPC to your right. Go straight ahead, and you will end up in a classroom. You will see a broken stone tablet in this classroom; you will need to align it with the tablet behind it to form a complete one.

The Fourth Monument To Seven Heroines

Leave the classroom and turn left. Head into the next room and take another left. The door frame you come to will have lots of crates on both sides of it. Go through this door frame. As you enter the corridor, get out your Ultrahand and look at the pile of sand to your left. You should see a small highlighted object. Pull that object out of the sand. Pick it up and place it into the broken stone pillar next to the pile of sand.

Head back through the path you came. Go back to the NPC that gave you the quest and speak with them. They will begin a series of dialogs relating to each of the monuments you took pictures of. They will give you a reward and then run off as you complete this quest.
