Zoids Wild: King of Blast Gets First Teaser Trailer
Takara Tomy released the first teaser trailer for Zoids Wild: King of Blast for Switch, showing mecha battles gameplay and Wild Blast mode.
Today, Takara Tomy published the first teaser trailer for Zoids Wild: King of Blast, the Switch game adapted from the mecha + animals Zoids franchise.
We got to see the game’s battles for the first time, which are 1 Vs 1, and very inspired by Virtual On and other similar mecha games. There’s also the Blast gauge, which lets you use Wild Blast Mode when full, unlocking new attacks. Each Zoids have different attacks and stats boosts unlocked when activating Wild Blast.
The game will feature multiple characters from the currently ongoing Zoids Wild anime, and they’re all voiced during battles. Judging from the footage shown, it seems each attack or skills have their own specific button, and the game doesn’t use fighting games-like inputs, so children can easily enjoy it too.
First print copies of the game will also include the “Wild Liger Evil armor parts kit”, allowing you to customize a ZW-01 Wild Liger toy or a ZW-15 Awakened Wild Liger toy into a Wild Liger Evil toy. You can find a promotional photo of it below along with the game’s case cover. Wild Liger Evil will also appear in the game.
Zoids was initially a model kit toys line from the eighties and was supposed to stay that way, to not tie in its popularity with TV adaptations or games. Because of that, some of the oldest fans of the franchise, including its creator, have very mixed feelings about recent anime or games adaptations like Zoids Wild. You can read more about that in our previous article on the game. The teaser trailer is included below.
Zoids Wild: King of Blast releases for Switch in Japan on February 28th. The game wasn’t announced in the west for now.
